Sleek Haul/Review Part 1

The other day I bought a few things from sleek and I thought I would share them with you. There isn't a sleek counter in the Superdrug near me so I ordered them from the Superdrug website as there was free postage.

This was the first time I had bought anything from Sleek and the first thing that I will say is that the packaging is very similar to Nars: matte black that gets dirty very easily. I don't mind this so much but others might so it is something to think about if you are considering buying anything from Sleek. The face products also have large mirrors in the lid which some people may like however I don't tend to use those kind of mirrors so it doesn't really affect my opinion.

The main reason that I wanted to order from Sleek was to buy this blush, it is called 'rose gold'. I had read that it is a dupe for Nars Orgasm which I desperately want to try but I just can't bring myself to spend £20 on a blush so I decided to try this one. I would describe it as a peachy pink with a LOT of gold shimmer running through it so if you dislike shimmery blushes, this probably isn't for you. I, however, absolutely love it and it has become my essential everyday blush. I think that this blush will look lovely all year round but especially in spring time and I will almost definitely be repurchasing it if I ever run out (which seems unlikely as i've been using it every day for about a month now and it still looks brand new). The formula is super pigmented so you have to be careful not to use too much, however as it is quite a light colour it would not be a disaster if you applied too much.

However the next blush that I received may not be so forgiving. It is called 'pomegranate' and is a purple/pink berry shade with golden shimmer running through it and again is very very pigmented. With this a little goes a long way and because of the darker colour you have to be very careful not too apply too much, however the colour itself is gorgeous and I think that it will be perfect for autumn/winter.

The final product that I am going to review in this post is the sleek contour kit in 'light'. I have always wanted to try contouring however I find it difficult to find a matte blush that is not too orange or muddy, so when I saw this I decided that it would be perfect and bought it. The colour is just right as it is very pigmented but not too dark and can be built up to the amount that you want. I don't tend to use the highlighting shade as the blushes that I use are very shimmery and highlighting however it has been nice on the occasions that I have used it. Overall I love this product and it has become a staple in my makeup bag.

I also bought two lipsticks from Sleek however I think that if I included them this review/haul would get too long so I will be posting a 'Sleek Haul part 2' in the future which includes them.
